MASTER RIGGER

Demers Bros Rigging and Machinery Movers, based in Attleboro, MA, is seeking to fill a position as a Master Rigger for our Team. We are looking for a skilled, professional, ambitious, mechanically inclined individual to join our Rigging Machine Moving Division. The Position:

  • Leadership of a crew to lift, move and hoist loads successfully.

  • Responsibility for the crew's performance and the safety of workers.

  • Signal Cranes and Other Equipment while hoisting/moving loads.

  • Understand and embrace a Safety Conscious work environment.

  • Transfer loads utilizing forklifts, versa lifts, and mechanical equipment.

  • Select appropriate gear (forklift, slings, shackles, dollies, etc.) according to the load weights, sizes, and methods of Rigging and Moving.

  • Control the movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces.

  • Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and around obstacles using multi-point suspension techniques.

  • Manipulate rigging lines, hoists, and pulling gear to move or support materials such as heavy equipment

  • Experience Reading Prints and Interpreting Drawings.

  • Commitment to Customer Service and Professional Relationships

Requirements:

  • 15 years+ of experience preferred

  • Driver's License (Required)

  • Operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and construction equipment.

  • Using various hand tools/power tools.

  • Strong sense of Professionalism

  • Physical requirements – bend, lift and carry objects weighing up to 70lbs.

  • Must be able to substantiate capabilities

  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check

Some of the qualities we are looking for:

  • Mechanic/Millwright Experience

  • Welding Experience

  • Forklift certification

  • Aerial lift certification

  • CDL Class A license

  • OSHA 10 or 30
